安易に「天罰方式（空き缶）」をやってはいけない理由
ネットの無駄吠え対策を調べていると「犬が吠えた瞬間に、後ろで大きな音がする空き缶を落とす」という手法を目にすることがあります。
これは、犬に『吠えると嫌なことが起きる』と学習させる、いわゆる「天罰方式」と呼ばれるしつけ法です。
しかし、一流のプロの視点から言わせていただくと、この方法は一般の飼い主さんが安易に絶対に真似してはいけない、極めて危険な劇薬です。
天罰方式が成功するためには「人間が仕掛けたことが、犬に100%バレないこと」が絶対条件です。
もし、空き缶を投げる飼い主の姿や殺気が少しでも犬に見破られた瞬間、犬の頭の中は『吠えたら天罰が下る』ではなく「大好きな飼い主さんが、突然自分を攻撃してきた、いじめてきた」という恐ろしい恐怖の解釈にすり替わってしまいます。
しつけどころか、愛犬との信頼関係を一瞬で崩壊させるリスクがあるのです。
