すでに癖になった犬に「目隠しシート」が効かない理由
窓越しに見える通行人を「自分が吠えて追い払った！」と誤解し、強い優越感を覚えた犬たち。
この『勝利のループ』を断ち切るための最初のステップとして、ネットのしつけサイトでは「窓に目隠しシートを貼って外を見えなくする」という環境対策がよく推奨されています。
確かに、まだ吠える癖がついていない初期の段階であれば、この事前に対象を「見えなくする環境づくり」は予防策として非常に高い効果を発揮します。
将来的に吠えにくくなる犬は多いです。
しかし、プロの現場から厳しい現実をお伝えすると、すでに完全にこの無駄吠えの習慣（癖）が身についてしまった犬に対しては、目隠しシートによる環境的な施策の効果は「多くても20%程度」です。
残りの80%の犬は、外が見えなくなっても継続して激しく吠え続けます。
「せっかく目隠しをしたのに、うちの子には効果がなかった」と多くの飼い主さんが絶望して離脱していくのは、この数字の限界を知らないからです。

Dogs who misunderstand pedestrians seen through the window as “I barked and drove them away!” experience a strong sense of superiority. As a first step to break this “victory loop,” online dog training sites often recommend environmental management: “apply privacy window film to the window to block their view of the outside.”
Certainly, if it is an early stage where the barking habit has not yet formed, this environment-building measure of “making the target invisible” in advance serves as a highly effective preventive method. Many dogs become less likely to bark in the future because of it.
However, to share a harsh reality from professional experience, for dogs that have already completely developed this habit of nuisance barking, the effect of an environmental measure like privacy window film is “at most around 20%.” The remaining 80% of dogs will continue to bark intensely even if they can no longer see outside.
Many owners give up in despair, thinking, “I went through the trouble of blocking the view, but it had no effect on my dog,” simply because they do not know the limits of this number.
